Stoney Creek Park - Goldsboro

Thanks to the work of Riley Wilkens and Miles Perry, as well as the Goldsboro Parks department and lots of community sponsors, Stony Creek Park on Ash Street now has a disc golf course!

All 18 holes are in place and playable. There are no signs or maps up yet to help you navigate, but the layout is fairly intuitive.

Each hole has three sets of tees - Rec., Am., and Pro. The tees are marked by a pair of large concrete blocks each. They're easy to see and should be visible year round. There are plans to upgrade the tees to concrete pads, but first things first.

At this point, you can definitely have a good time, and you can see that this will be a fun, and popular course, with lots of competitve potential.

If you go...
The parking is limited at this point, to one small lot. If you come into Goldsboro on Ash St. from points east, look for the turn into the parking area immediately after crossing the bridge over Stoney Creek. We have been told there will be more parking as the park develops, but for now, this is it.

There is a bike/outdoor shop across the street that sells Innova products, as well as a lot of other non-disc golf stuff. There are plenty of places nearby to eat, too, since you're in the middle of Goldsboro.

Riley is still seeking sponsors to help with course development. If you're interested, we can help you get in touch with Riley.
